Course information

The mystery of the compás is the main task of all flamenco lovers.

Compás & Palmas is a private course in which we put at your disposal the learning of the accents and the metric structure of the flamenco, aspects that can sometimes be somewhat complicated.

The mastery of the compás is fundamental for the practice of flamenco: rhythms, setbacks, structure of singing, playing and dancing to accompany...

Only by internalizing these structures and rhythms will we be able to improvise on the music.

Classes are offered for all levels and are a perfect complement to any other guitar or dance course.

For beginner levels we will start by teaching the placement of the palms of the hands to get the right sound. You will learn how to differentiate between an open palm clap and a deaf palm, as well as when to use one or the other.

You will be able to differentiate the palos through their metric structure, such as 4-beat Tangos, or all those governed by 12-beat compás, such as the Soleá, Alegrías, Bulerías, Guajiras...

The Compás & Palmas course is also offered for more than one person, as a one-day course or for the whole week.
